Radio Sailing Forum Rules & Guidelines
Welcome to the official forum for radio sailing in Ireland and Northern Ireland. To maintain a respectful, informative, and inclusive space for all members, please adhere to the following rules:
1. Be Respectful and Courteous
- Treat all members with respect, regardless of experience, location, or club affiliation.
- Personal attacks, discrimination, hate speech, or inflammatory comments will not be tolerated.
2. Stay On Topic
- All posts should be related to radio sailing activities, events, boats, techniques, equipment, clubs, or rules.
- Please use appropriate categories and thread titles for your topics.
3. No Spam or Self-Promotion
- Do not post irrelevant links, advertisements, or promotional content without prior approval from the forum moderators.
- You may share links to relevant products, events, or club news if they contribute meaningfully to the discussion.
4. Use Clear and Civil Language
- Write clearly and avoid using all caps (which can be perceived as shouting).
- Refrain from using offensive language or sarcasm intended to provoke.
5. Respect Privacy and Confidentiality
- Do not post private messages, personal contact details, or confidential information about others without their consent.
6. No Duplicate Content
- Avoid posting the same message in multiple threads or forums. Use the search function to see if your topic already exists before posting.
7. Constructive Feedback Only
- If you disagree with someone, do so respectfully and constructively.
- Critique ideas—not individuals.
8. Event Announcements & Classifieds
- Only post event announcements or boats/equipment for sale in the appropriate sections.
- Include all relevant details (date, location, condition, price, etc.) and update or remove posts once the item is sold or the event has passed.
9. Follow Moderator Instructions
- Forum moderators have the final say in enforcing rules. If you have a concern, raise it respectfully via private message.
- Repeated rule violations may result in warnings, post deletions, or bans.
